Hydroptic has announced that it will participate in the ASLO Aquatic Sciences Meeting in San Juan, Puerto Rico from the 13th to the 18th of February, 2011 and we look forward to seeing all our old friends and making new ones there. We will, of course, be showing the latest ZooSCAN and UVP systems and providing first-hand information on improvements and updates.
We'll be at BOOTH #20, so come by and say Hello!

The French side of the website is almost complete and in place. This was also an opportunity to correct all (O.K. most!) of the small errors that had somehow crept in! We're sure that we've still missed something so please don't be embarassed to point it out.

Earlier this month we had a visit from Gert Drewes who is Vice President, Business Delveopment for Hi Technologies Asia based in Singapore. This was an opportunity to show him ZooSCAN in operation and explain the many features of UVP. As you might guess since his background is in hi-tech pursuits that he was suitably impressed. Gert works with our Asia-based agents YSD, Hydronav and Woods Hole Agencies India to help bring our producrs to the attention of the oceanographic community. He can be contacted at gert.drewes@hitecasia.biz.

Just an update on our progress! We've corrected (most of?) the inevitable typos and clarified some of the text and we've added a Literature page where we intend to gather together all the crucial published background literature for our products. You may want to check back in a week or two to see what's there.

Once again we earnestly solicit your suggestions, comments and even criticisms as we try to build a resource for all the users of ZooSCAN, UVP and NEMO. What can we add? What should we discard? What do you think of our progress so far? You'll find a handy email form on our MAILING LIST PAGE

We're looking forward to hearing from you!

29 April 2010

The big news this month is the partial launch of Hydroptic's new website. This is an exciting innovation for us and we aim to bring our many customers and friends news of advances not only in our products but also in applications, software and methods and, of course, good, old-fashioned gossip about our field of expertise.

While we are fine-tuning the site only the english version will appear and we expect that there will be a considerable number of tweaks and changes over the next few weeks so please check back regularly.

In the interim we earnestly solicit your suggestions, comments and even criticisms as we try to build a resource for all the users of ZooSCAN, UVP and NEMO. What can we add? What should we discard? What do you think of our progress so far? You'll find a handy email form on our MAILING LIST PAGE

We're looking forward to hearing from you!
